In this era where every one talks about the customer experience, it is important to note that one of the main drivers of customer experience is employee experience because if your employee is not happy, they won't make your customers happy. In this session, we will talk about the importance of employee experience and how it helps an organisation.

Speaker Profile

Umesh has over 20 years of professional experience encompassing the Banking, Insurance and ITeS industries. His career has spanned roles in Operations, Transition and Pricing with companies like Citibank, Aviva Life Insurance and Stream Global

Services. Since the past 10 years, he has been with Firstsource Solutions and currently is VP – Finance in charge of their global Pricing function which he has developed from scratch into a geography agnostic multi-skilled team.

In his current role, he is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies, optimizing and maintaining a balance between growth, risk and profits and engaging with in-house and external teams to derive value from product offerings. A strong proponent of value-based approaches, he is deeply engaged in driving long-term relationships with customers through a combination of finance, analytics, automation and innovative product sponsorship. A student of Statistics and International Business, he firmly believes that experience is the best teacher, and the best relationship is one which is based on mutual respect.

Apart from the theory and why we need it we have a strong case.. In Capgemini, I had worked on few projects in Performance Consulting. This is, essentially, aligning with Business Heads to understand their Business priorities and issues. We identified the top business issue, understood their measurements and the parameters and worked on all the HR processes( KRA setting, rewards, training, performance management) to achieve it. I was like backward integration of HR after understanding the output / transformation required. This is a good example of Agile HR.

Ashu, a pioneer coach for senior leaders in India, is well regarded for her ability to deepen self awareness and create sustainable behavior change to achieve success in all facets of life. Over the last 13 years, she has successfully transformed many CXO’s and senior management teams as well as mentored several coaches in India. She is an expert on group coaching and also coaches business families on interpersonal and succession relationship matters.

Ashu has shared insights from her journey of inner transformation in her books - ‘I Am Freedom, Live Life with Awareness’; ‘I Am…Life Is…Live Life with Mastery’ and ‘To That…with love and reverence’. She is currently writing her next book, ‘I Am Awareness, Live life with Aliveness’.

She is the Founder President of the Mumbai Chapter of International Coach Federation (“ICF”). In a short span of 2 years, the Chapter published a book on the power of coaching and won an award for probono coaching at NGO’s. She also served on ICF’s Global and Regional committees for strategic matters and as a jury member for ICF Global committees.

Some her clients include Citibank, Ansaldo STS, Oil Tanking India, SD Corporation, Barclays Capital, Ernst & Young, BCG, Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered Bank, Aircel, Adidas, RBS India, Deutsche Bank, Trident Hotel, Essar Steel, Reliance Mutual Fund, Yum Restaurants and Lemon Tree Hotels.

She is a Chartered Accountant and has worked in South East Asia and India with Arthur Andersen & PricewaterhouseCoopers, Kotak Bank. She has done the Online Digital Marketing and Strategy from Columbia University. Ashu is married and has two sons. She lives with her family in Mumbai.

Pooja was instrumental in ideating and creating the global employee recognition process and platform for TCS. She also curatedand led several other initiatives including Leadership Connects, Employee Assistance and Corporate Social Responsibility programs for the Company.

Currently, she heads the Performance Management function for TCS globally. Driving a high-performance work culture in the agile business environment is her core focus.

In recognition of her accomplishments, she has received several awards in the Company.Additionally, she was recognized by People Matters magazine and DDI institute with the Future HR Leaders Award.

Workplaces that promote mental health and deals with issues like stress, anxiety, etc. are more likely to make employees happy and increase productivity. In general, mentoring, coaching and counselling at workplace is an effective tool to deal with employees mental health issues, fostering a happier culture. In light of today’s economic landscape, it’s more important than ever for companies to have happy and in turn productive employees.

Rajat Grover is a passionate and result oriented HR professional with 16+ year of experience. He has been part of 5 organizations from their nascent stage and have proven ability of enhancing employee experience and scaling up of businesses from scratch. He is a multitasker, go-getter with solution-oriented approach and has excellent stake holder management skills.

He has handled various HR roles at National, Regional & Strategic level and has been part of the MD & CEO office in YES BANK Ltd. He has successfully conceptualized and implemented various complex and high impacting HR projects, organizational restructurings and change management initiatives.

Being an SAP HCM Functional Consultant, he has very good knowledge of digitization and digitalization. He is a firm believer of paper less HR Dept. with maximum use of Automation, robotic processing and artificial intelligence.

In his current role, he is Heading Business HR for Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd and Fullerton India Home Finance Company Ltd.

She is a Pharmacist by education with an MBA in Human Resources from Mumbai University.

Analytics help HR professionals in making data-driven decisions which improves employee productivity and subsequently, Return on Investment.

“Without data you’re just another person with an opinion”, Edwards Deming paraphrased in most apt words.

Say for example, one wants to measure the impact of employee engagement on financial performance. To measure this relationship, he needs to combine annual engagement survey with performance data. In short, data and analytics take the guess-work out of HR and quantify its value.

Many companies can predict employee’s engagement and attitudes in different groups by scanning email data which is possible only through Big Data and HR Analytics.

Future of Work is a reality today and many organizations already geared up to face various trends of the future of work.
