Overview of the event

We recently wrapping up 2019 as the year of digital quality. We talked about how digital transformation is going to bring even more drastic shifts in how we do software delivery. And how your organization needs to brace up to bring agile models to work in order to release higher quality software faster through automated testing.

A key trend that will sweep over to bring economies of scale, speed and intelligence will be automated testing followed by AI. We've seen a massive movement from manual to automation in the last couple of years, as manual could not handle this scale of change. Manual testing matrices are too big to approximate manually, take a long time, and are very complex to handle for applications like Uber, Snapchat, and Twitter that are scaling at the speed of light.

Manual testing might not be able to meet the demand of a plethora of web browsers, devices, operating systems, screen resolutions, and responsive designs. And to deliver quality at the speed of digital, there will be a need to bring in the right automated testing initiatives. But automation is vast and there are several nuances to it. Which nuances will be more pronounced in 2019?

Automation summit will help you get industry best practices in Test Automation and the latest tools and techniques to achieve it.

X Topic Abstract

Performance engineering was fairly straightforward in traditional waterfall projects. You would performance test at the end of the project after development and all functional testing was complete. This approach simply cannot work in the age of DevOps and Agile. Release cycles happen too quickly. Code changes too much. Data preparation takes too long. Results analysis is too slow. You need new approaches. Performance engineering needs a new paradigm. And you need to rethink the role of the performance engineer.
Performance engineering needs to shift left and shift right. It must become truly end to end.
Gopal Brugalette shares strategies for incorporating performance activities at every stage of your software process. You need to start focusing on it at the Agile story level and then continuously through development and testing. It needs to become part of the definition of done. The DevOps focus needs to continue through to production monitoring and the customer experience. You need a continuous feedback loop from testing and production to development. Performance engineers need to change as well. You have to become tester, data scientist, consultant and teacher. Join Gopal to learn how to transform your performance engineering organization to meet the new challenges.

X Topic Abstract

In recent years, RPA has changed the way businesses integrate new technologies into their existing processes. The capability of mimicking human action on a UI display can improve efficiency and resource consumption. However, as with any new technologies, there are some precautions to take before using RPA at scale. Fully understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the tool can help leadership plan a holistic implementation model to achieve their strategic objectives.
